Superb stallions to perform in Surrey

A spectacle seen all over the world is coming to Surrey.

The “World Famous” Lipizzaner Stallions will perform at the Cloverdale Agriplex on June 24.

It's the Lipizzaner Stallions' 39th anniversary presentation of the Dancing White Stallions.

Over the years, more than 25 million people throughout North and South America, Europe, Australia and Hawaii have seen this internationally acclaimed equine demonstration.

The Lipizzaner Stallion has galloped out of the pages of over 400 years of history, and is now preserved as an equestrian work of art, an equine ballet not to be rivalled. Harkening back to a time when the horse was a symbol of grace and majesty, the family show also includes a segment called "Airs Above the Ground" which shows the leaps and manoeuvres once used by riders to protect themselves in the battlefield.

The conclusion of the performance is the traditional Grand Quadrille, featuring six to eight stallions with their riders performing an intricate, equine ballet, exhibiting moves through the highest level of dressage.

Regular admission adult tickets are $22.50 each. Discounts are available for children 12 and under and seniors 60 and over.

Tickets are available at Stampede Tack and Western Wear, online at www.tickets.com or charge by phone at 1-800-882-8258.

The agriplex is located at 17763 62 Ave. The show begins at 7:30 p.m.
