Today we announced a long-term extension with the Hult Center for the Performing Arts. The 5 year deal - with options for an additional 6 years - includes the Center’s move to the industry leading ProVenue® ticketing platform.
“Tickets.com has been a valuable partner in providing technology services to the Hult Center and we are excited to take advantage of their latest innovations with the ProVenue system,” said Marcia James-Gluz, Ticket Services Manager at of the Center. “We look forward to expanding our capabilities and creating the best ticket purchase experience for our patrons with the use of this great tool.”
Like many other Tickets.com venues, the Hult Center is excited about upgrading to the system’s new fully-integrated, best-in-breed Interactive Seat Maps, that allow customers to select seats online from maps dynamically generated from the ticketing system. This is unlike other systems where such maps need to be built and maintained separately and updated manually when event configurations change – which is often.
The Hult Center opened to national acclaim in 1982 and is home to a number of important Resident Companies including the Eugene Ballet, Concert Choir, Opera and Symphony as well as the Oregon Bach Festival and Oregon Festival of American Music. It holds over 400 events a year in its numerous performance and entertainment spaces, including the popular outdoor Cuthbert Amphitheater. The Hult Center for the Performing Arts is owned by the people of Eugene and operated by the City of Eugene's Cultural Services Division.

Hello, Technology Calling
Tulsa Performing Arts Center Newsletter - Dec 2009
Nancy Hermann
Life used to be much simpler, in some ways, before we were all a-Twitter — Facebooking our every move, getting Google alerts galore, texting votes, or timing to the second a strategic buy on eBay. While technology might, on the surface, seem to complicate things, it can make life easier overall, and has certainly revolutionized marketing and customer service.
On the Cutting Edge Then and Now
The Performing Arts Center has been at the forefront of advancing technology for years. Did you know that TulsaPAC.com was among the first 20 performing arts center websites in the country? And when some people suggested that no one would divulge their credit card number to purchase via computer, the PAC was using the magic of the “Ticket Wizard” to sell tix in “real-time.” We are still the only performing arts center in the country running a regional ticketing operation (MyTicketOffice.com), launched in 2006.
Print Your Own — Tickets@Home
Two years ago the PAC added Tickets@Home to its ticketing options. You’ll see it listed when you’re buying tickets online. For an additional $2 per order charge, you can opt to have a link that contains a printout with a barcode e-mailed to your computer. Our ushers scan this printout in the same way they scan traditional tickets.
Website Wherever — TulsaPAC.mobi
Last year we became one of the first performing arts centers to have what is known as .mobi. This means that we have formatted our website so when it is viewed on a cell phone, the information we provide fits the phone’s space parameters. Recently, our ticketing partner, Tickets.com, has given our .mobi visitors the ability to buy tickets on that site. With this enhancement, the PAC will once again be ticketing technology pioneers.
Your Phone is Your Ticket — Tickets@Phone
We hope you’ll try purchasing tickets through your cell phone, especially now that we have Tickets@Phone. If you choose this option during the final phase of buying an online ticket, you will receive a text message that contains ticket information. When the text message is scanned by one of our ushers, a printer on the usher’s belt then creates your ticket. This option also costs $2 per order.
What’s Next? — Text!
Coming right up is our ability to send text messages to your cell phone. In the future, we’ll let you know about special deals, insider news and advance ticket on-sale dates —all through your cell phone. If you are not currently receiving our half-price offers and monthly news bulletin through an e-mail broadcast, please sign up on our homepage at TulsaPAC.com. And if you’d like to provide your cell phone number to receive text messages, please share that with us too. We will safeguard your information and we won’t bombard you either.
If you need anything from the PAC, please e-mail us at tulsapac@cityoftulsa.org. We’ll answer you by the next business day. In addition, sign up to follow the PAC on Facebook and Twitter. We’re here to help you enjoy the many events at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. We want you to have the best possible experience, from obtaining information, to buying a ticket, to your comfort and enjoyment in our theaters. Just make sure to turn off everything but your enthusiasm once you’re inside!

Tickets.com Signs Contract with the NHL Buffalo Sabres and HSBC Arena
Tickets.com Signs Long-Term Contract with the NHL Buffalo Sabres and HSBC Arena Including A Secondary Market Integration with StubHub via MyTickets™
COSTA MESA, CA – January 5, 2008 – Tickets.com, a leading worldwide provider of integrated ticketing solutions, has signed a long-term contract extension with the Buffalo Sabres and their home venue, the HSBC Arena. The renewal of the ticketing services agreement includes a partnership with StubHub for secondary ticket market integration. This new added value feature allows season ticket holders the benefit of reselling, transferring or donating tickets, as well as managing their ticket inventory online using the MyTickets™ interface from Tickets.com.
The contract extension between the Buffalo Sabres, HSBC Arena and Tickets.com makes StubHub, “the Official Fan to Fan Ticket Marketplace of the Buffalo Sabres.” For Tickets.com, it marks the first time that one of their non-Major League Baseball clients has partnered with StubHub, the largest secondary seller in the ticketing industry.
“We are excited to be extending and diversifying our longstanding relationship with the Buffalo Sabres and HSBC Arena,” said Brian Roberts, vice president of sales, Tickets.com. “We’re also eager to bring the benefits of the secondary marketplace to Sabres fans and patrons of HSBC.”
Integration of secondary market benefits for Sabres fans is facilitated by MyTickets™, an online ticket management system for season ticket holders. Tickets can be transferred, donated and resold in a password-protected, secure online environment. All transactions are completed via an instant e-mail delivery using Tickets@Home functionality. Season ticket holders know they have an easy-to-use means of recovering the cost of unused tickets – and fans have instant access to a wide range of available seats.
“The commitment that Tickets.com has to best-in-class customer service and ongoing technological innovation has been a major benefit for the Sabres and HSBC Arena,” said Dan DiPofi, chief operating officer, Buffalo Sabres. “We are thrilled to now offer secondary market integration to our season ticket holders and fans, and are confident that it will greatly enhance their experiences with our team and venue. We look forward to growing our relationship with Tickets.com.”
The 19,000-seat HSBC Arena is controlled by the Sabres and has been a Tickets.com client since 1996, The state-of-the-art arena, which is owned by Erie County, is also home to the National Lacrosse League’s Buffalo Bandits and is Western New York’s premiere facility for a wide variety of concerts, ice shows, sporting events and family entertainment. Buffalo Sabres tickets are available online through the team’s Web site at www.sabres.com and HSBC Arena events can be purchased online through www.hsbcarena.com. Tickets can also be purchased at TOPS Markets locations throughout Western New York.

Tickets@Phone Mobile Ticket Delivery Launches at the BOK Center Arena
Tickets@Phone™ Digital Ticket Delivery Technology from Tickets.com to be Offered for all Events at the New BOK Center Arena in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Costa Mesa, CA - September 30, 2008 - Tickets.com, a leading worldwide provider of integrated ticketing solutions, announced that their digital delivery system Tickets@Phone™ is now a ticket transaction option for all events at the newly opened BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Earlier this year, Tickets.com signed an exclusive, multi-year ticketing services agreement with the venue, which is owned by the City of Tulsa and managed by SMG. The 19,199-seat arena officially opened on September 6th. In addition to premiere entertainment engagements, the state-of-the-art facility will host major sports events and is the new home of the Arena Football League 2 Tulsa Talons and the Central Hockey League Tulsa Oilers.
Tickets@Phone™ is an innovative feature launched by Tickets.com in 2006 that is increasingly in demand given the explosive growth in the mobile marketplace. Under the partnership between Tickets.com and the BOK Center, Tickets@Phone™ will deliver barcoded tickets directly to customers’ mobile phones when they purchase admission online through the arena’s Web site (www.bokcenter.com) or directly through Tickets.com (the technology is not available for transactions at the box office, kiosks or other physical locations). The day of the event, customers simply present their phones for quick and efficient scanned entry into the venue. Digital ticketing via Tickets@Phone enhances security, reduces operational costs and is a completely paperless, green technology.
“It’s a thrill to be working with the BOK team on the launch of their outstanding venue,” said Brian Roberts, vice president of sales, Tickets.com. “Having the opportunity to integrate leading edge technologies such as Tickets@Phone™ into the suite of services we provide meets our goal of helping them to have optimal control over their ticketing operations and to offer their patrons the best experience possible. This type of collaboration is also an ideal fit with our company’s overall mission of being at the technological forefront of the ticketing industry.”
In addition to Tickets@Phone™, the BOK Center will utilize additional Tickets.com technologies including Access Control and Tickets@Home® to further provide patrons with convenient online ticket printing, delivery, management, faster gate entry and other customer service benefits. Among the upcoming highlights from the venue’s opening season are concerts by Neil Diamond, Eagles, Metallica and Carrie Underwood, as well as sports events including the Oklahoma debut of the new NBA team Oklahoma City Thunder at their October 13 pre-season game against The Houston Rockets.
“Breakthrough technologies like Tickets@Phone™ are just one reason we chose Tickets.com as our ticketing services provider,” said John Bolton, general manager of the BOK Center. “Their commitment to technological innovation and customer service is totally compatible with ours. We’re confident that ticketing operations will run smoothly, thereby allowing us maximum time to concentrate on creating the ultimate consumer experience.”

Tickets.com in the News: Tickets.com Signs Deal with Canadian Venue
By Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
Kingston Regional Sports & Entertainment Centre, Ontario's newest entertainment venue, has formed a partnership with Tickets.com to sell tickets through a variety of channels including its website, the telephone, and eventually an on-site ticket office.
With Tickets.com's Tickets@Home feature, Centre patrons will have the ability to buy and print live tickets at their home or office -- a first for a Kingston venue. Tickets.com, which is owned by Major League Baseball, has relationships with RazorGator, among others, and is the second-largest primary ticket seller, according to TicketNews’ exclusive ranking of leading ticket companies.
"Online sales now comprise over 70 percent of the live event industry's total ticket sales," Neil Shorthouse of Arcturus SMG, a venue management company, said in a statement. "Tickets.com is the first ticketing company to deliver tickets to mobile phones with their Tickets@Phone service in the United States via Multimedia Message Service (MMS). Although the technology is not yet available in Canada, the potential capability illustrates one of the many reasons why Tickets.com is a great partner. We believe that the ticket delivery channels and methods offered by Tickets.com will significantly contribute to our ability to provide an exceptional customer experience."
Royal Oak Music Theatre in Michigan took advantage of Tickets.com's mobile ticketing technology, becoming the first venue outside the sports world in the U.S. to offer event tickets to ticket buyers’ mobile phones.
