The famed Harlem Globetrotters will bring their 2010 "Magical Memories" World Tour to Lawlor Events Center at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Two players who will be performing are "Flight Time" Lang and "Big Easy" Lofton, who were recently eliminated from "The Amazing Race."
Tickets for the event are $15 and can be purchased at the Lawlor box office, Raley's or www.tickets.com.

'Disney on Ice' princess classics coming to Lawlor

A production called "Disney on Ice: Princess Classics" is coming to Lawlor Events Center Nov. 5-11, and a limited amount of free tickets will be available to those who arrive at the events center's box office Saturday to donate school supplies for Washoe County's Education Alliance.
Starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, the first 100 people to arrive in front of the Lawlor Events Center box office with five school supply items, such as reams of paper, pencils, rulers, crayons, will receive a free pass to see the "Disney on Ice" production on opening night, Nov. 5.
Lawlor Events Center is on the University of Nevada, Reno campus at 1664 N. Virginia St.; the box office is located inside the south main entrance on the ground level.
Tickets to the ice-skating production range in price from $12 to $40 apiece, and are available at the box office or online at tickets.com.

WAC Tournament: New ticket option available

If you don't want to buy an all-session pass to the WAC Tournament but still want catch all the Wolf Pack's potential games, the University of Nevada is offering a bit of an alternative -- the "three-pack."
Fans can purchase a WAC three-pack and receive the same seat for the men's quarterfinals (choice of afternoon or evening session), semifinals and championship game at a discounted rate.
WAC three-packs are $75 and $105 compared to $90 and $120 if purchased separately. The afternoon three-pack includes Thursday's 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. quarterfinals, Friday's semifinals and Saturday's championship game. The evening three-pack includes Thursday's 6 p.m. (Nevada) and 8:30 p.m. quarterfinals, Friday's semifinals and Saturday's championship game.
All-session tickets will remain on sale until the tournament begins on March 10 and range in price from $110 to $145. All-session tickets can be purchased by visiting the Link Piazzo Ticket Office at Legacy Hall or by calling 348-7225, option No. 2.
Single-session tickets are also on sale now by visiting the Lawlor Events Center Box Office, calling 348-7225, option No. 1 or by going online at www.tickets.com. Each session includes two games (with the exception of the championship game session) and prices range from $30 to $40. The tournament runs March 10-14.

Wolf Pack Pep Rally Scheduled for This Sunday in Sparks

Wolf Pack head basketball coaches Mark Fox and Jane Albright as well as Nevada's cheerleaders, dance team, mascot Alphie and pep band will be on hand for a Western Athletic Conference Tournament pep rally Sunday, March 1 at 11 a.m. in front of Best Buy at the Legends at Sparks Marina.
The Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority and the University of Nevada will host the pep rally, which is being sponsored by Best Buy and Scheel's.
Entertainment will include Wolf Pack tattoos for kids, music from the Wolf Pack Pep Band, cheers from the Wolf Pack cheerleaders and the University of Nevada dance team and pep talks from Coach Fox and Coach Albright.
The pep rally also gives fans their first opportunity to purchase single-game tickets and secure the best remaining seats for the WAC Tournament. Fans in attendance at the pep rally can purchase tickets on Sunday at a ticket station at Scheel's that day or receive a priority code to purchase single-session tickets early at www.tickets.com.
Single-session tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, March 2 at the Lawlor Events Center ticket office or online at www.tickets.com.
