Albany River Rats to Offer $5 Tickets This Wednesday

The Albany River Rats announced today that tickets for their game next Wednesday night — the day before Thanksgiving — against the Syracuse Crunch will be available for $5 apiece.

Single-game tickets generally run $17 ($13 for children 12 and under and seniors 65 and older).

Tickets can be purchased by visiting or calling the Times Union Center box office (487-2000), at http://www.tickets.com (1-800-30-EVENT), or at select Price Chopper stores.

ALBANY, NY - The Albany River Rats announced that the club has scheduled two pre-season games against the Adirondack Phantoms. The games will both have 7:00 p.m. start times with the opening contest taking place on Friday, September 25th at the Glens Falls Civic Center and the second on Saturday, September 26th at the Times Union Center in Albany.

"This series with the Phantoms is a great way to kick-off the 2009-10 campaign and renew the Northway Rivalry," said River Rats CEO and President, Garen Szablewski. "The games will give area hockey fans a taste of what should be 12 must-see events during the upcoming season."

Tickets for Albany's September 26th pre-season home game will be $5.00 for season ticketholders, children 12 and under, and adults 65 and over. Tickets for the general public are $10 and available by calling the Times Union Center box office at (518) 487-2000, visiting www.tickets.com, via phone at 1-800-30-EVENT or at select Price Chopper Outlets.

River Rats Honor Veterans With Free Ticket

ALBANY, NY - The Albany River Rats announced today the team will offer all veterans and active military personnel a free game ticket for the team's game against the Syracuse Crunch on Wednesday, November 12 at 7:00 pm at the Times Union Center.

In order to receive their ticket, veterans should bring their military ID, American Legion or VFW Card, or a copy of the DD214 form to the River Rats office during regular business hours or to the Times Union Center Box office at least more than one hour prior to the game. There is a limit of one ticket per veteran.

The River Rats will complete their three-game home stand on Wednesday, November 12th as they host their I-90 Rivals the Syracuse Crunch for a 7:00 pm face off at the Times Union Center.

ALBANY, NY - The Albany River Rats, primary affiliate of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, announced today that individual game tickets for the 2008-09 regular season will go on sale this Saturday, September 6, 2008.

Entering their 16th season in the American Hockey League, the River Rats will hold 36 of their 40 regular season home games at the Times Union Center in downtown Albany. Single game tickets for all home games in Albany will go on sale this Saturday at 11:00 am and can be purchased at the Times Union Center Box Office, online at Tickets.com and at select Price Chopper stores. The River Rats first game at the Times Union Center will be their season opener on Saturday, October 11th at 7:00 pm against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The River Rats will play four home games this season at the Glens Falls Civic Center in downtown Glens Falls, NY.
